We're a privately held renewable energy developer with offices in Philadelphia and Detroit. Our team connects sustainable capital with impactful projects with transparency, integrity, and a genuine commitment to the communities we serve.
Countryside Energy is dedicated to expanding clean energy in ways that strengthen both economic opportunity and community resilience. We believe solar and EV infrastructure, deployed thoughtfully, can make rural and mid-sized communities more self-sufficient and prosperous.
Our mission is to accelerate solar deployment because we believe in energy security, the long-term viability of solar, and its ability to deliver lasting value. We measure success not just by the megawatts we install, but by the trust we earn and the positive impact we create in the communities we serve.
We share our models, our assumptions, and our limitations up front. No hidden costs, no overpromised returns.
We bring institutional discipline — the kind honed at large-scale energy developers — to every project regardless of size.
We work where we live. Our Detroit and Philadelphia roots mean we understand the communities we serve, not just the projects.
We operate the assets we build. Our incentives are aligned with our clients' long-term success, not just project completion.
Our founders spent years building clean energy infrastructure at scale for Tesla before starting Countryside Energy with a simple thesis: smaller markets deserve the same quality of execution as large ones.
Jordan is passionate about solar energy and founded Countryside Energy to build a more sustainable future.
The majority of Jordan's career was spent leading teams for Tesla's Supercharger group. He managed development and site acquisition for hundreds of projects across 12 Midwestern states spanning from Ohio to the Dakotas. He has hands-on experience with site development work, permitting, utility coordination, and asset management for energy infrastructure.
He attended and graduated from Kenyon College in Ohio, where he helped start and operate The Kenyon Farm. Seeing a project go from an idea to a reality is one of his favorite things. Jordan lives in Philadelphia.
Sarah is dedicated to bringing projects to life with a relentless commitment to getting the job done right.
She helped plan and develop dozens of Tesla energy projects across the Midwest. Sarah is adept at working with utilities, government entities, designers, and contractors across jurisdictions to manage projects from site selection to construction closeout.
Before joining Tesla, she led commercial construction project management teams in Denver and Detroit. Sarah graduated from Loyola University Chicago and received an MBA from Wayne State University. She lives in Detroit with her daughter Alice, husband Chris, and two rescue pups.
Countryside Energy was founded on a straightforward observation: the communities and businesses that stand to benefit most from clean energy like small are often the least well-served by national developers who focus on utility-scale projects.
Our team has spent years learning how to do this work at scale and with discipline. We're bringing that expertise to a different kind of market where we can have a lasting impact.
We are headquartered in Detroit, MI with a presence in Philadelphia as well. Our service territory currently spans the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic.
